I have a Masters degree from the University of Washington, Tacoma. My Capstone project was titled Asynchronous Web Service Oriented Approach for B2B Application Integration. More information about my Capstone project can be found here. I received my Bachelors from the University of Puget Sound. My interests outside of computers consist primarily of classical music and improving my photographic skills. Although I did not double major in music during my stint at the University of Puget Sound (UPS), I was a recipient of their generous music scholarship and have experience in accompanying instrumental vocal performances as well as teaching private lessons (piano). I also play the organ and violin although I consider piano to be my main instrument. Composers that I like are primarily German (e.g. J.S. Bach, J. Brahms, L. van Beethoven, etc.). although I also do like Chopin (who is Polish). For those who are interested, there are tracks of music that I've performed on the piano (and self-recorded). Regarding my interest in photography, I still have a ways to go in terms of gaining experience in framing pictures correctly, getting the exposure correct so that pictures aren't washed out or too dark. Since acquiring a digital camera earlier last year, I have had the chance to take pictures I normally would not have with a film camera. A friend introduced me to Ofoto and I find that I appreciate their automagic picture-size reduction and "free storage". I have uploaded pictures I took around the Puget Sound here. My life goals include learning how to speak another 2-3 languages (min., hopefully with fluency), spending extensive amount of time in Europe, performing the Brahms Piano Concerto No.2 in public, and mastering some style of martial arts. |
