Adaptive Services, LLC
This is the host I have for my site. They are fairly inexpensive and have (in my experience thus far) great customer
service that is prompt.
http://www.addpro.com
A recently tried submitting my site (this one) through this search engine submission site....guess
we'll see how well it works or not.
ASCII Character Table
Lists all the different representations of characters (hex, decimal, oct) along with a brief description if necessary.
BabelFish Translation
This is a pretty cool tool (hey--that rhymes). It translates for you into different languages, although sentences are not as accurate
as I wish it would be. But it sure helps when learning a language and wanting to find (essentially) a online dictionary.
Blue Letter Bible
This is a quick and painless tool for quick Bible Study help. It offers different translations of the Bible with links to concordances and several commentaries as well as other "tools of the trade".
Chinese Christian Church of Tacoma
A newly founded church in the south Puget Sound area. Focus is on ministering to the Chinese and Chinese-Americans
in the region though all are welcome. Service is conducted in Mandarin, and English (and occasionally in Cantonese).
CCSP Online
Site that focuses on reviews of primarily computer software that my brother and a friend of his work on. If you'd like to know more about a specific game or even downloadable freeware (hand selected games), then this is a decent place to go. Updated quite frequently so you're sure to get the most current stuff. Most recently, quite a few links within are dead because they are reconstructing the site...just a precaution.
Home of Iron Crane
This is the official site written by Sensei Bill McCabe, my gun-fu instructor. It has interesting and useful information for those who would like to know more about the style that I am currently learning. Easy to understand with illustrations, etc.
"Iconz's" Icons
This is a easy to use (not very time consuming) place to get graphics, specifically icons. The images download at a reasonable rate. Only downside to it really is that there doesn't seem to be much organization involved so you can't just skip a few pages and expect to find what you're specifically looking for.
Java Junkies
While writing code, it is always good to have a few sites to refer to for sample code. This one does a fairly decent job I think of providing samples in java.
myHosting
I registered my domain name with them using OpenSRS instead of NSI. The fee that they charge is reasonable (I spent
an entire night comparing prices and reliability) and they are prompt -- thank God for prompt Support groups!
National Institute of Standards and Technology
This is a really useful site with lots of information regarding computer science. If studying algorithms or computational
theory, among other things, there are links off of this site that describe practically everything necessary. And most of them
also provide examples of what is defined either through real/pseudo code or diagrams and such.
Planet Source Code
This site is a good resource for coding. Offers sample source code, programs and tutorials in a variety of
programming languages. Also grades it (beginner/intermediate/advanced level programming).
Pristine Lexicon
This site offers a handy-dandy tool to convert words from English to Pinyin (Chinese)...AND supply the characters.
Particularly useful when you forget the Pinyin but know what the word means in English.
U-Hope
This is the site of a cool, small-group Christian fellowship up in the University of Washington area. Take a look. They are based out a church and have a link to that church through this site.
WebShop Buttons
This is a good site for finding simple, aesthetically pleasing buttons and bullets. On my first website (formerly at Crosswinds, but has since then been deleted as they upgraded their servers)
the "blinking " bullets on my menu bar were from this site as free ones. They also provide services in which you can have them custom-design buttons for you and/or your company. If you want to have simple, easy-to-use buttons, I suggest you take a look there before any other sites that offer "free" buttons.
