EXPERIENCE Software Design Engineer in Test/Volt at Microsoft (Redmond, WA)/June 2006-Present
Determined approach for reconciling four branches of a project in Source Depot and executed the required branching and “merging”. Use MAUI (Microsoft Automation of UI) to automate GUI testing of WMDC (Windows Mobile Device Center) using VisualDiff.


Software Engineer/Dimension4 (Bremerton, WA)/December 2004-June 2006
Design and implement a new stand-alone graphics converter application using C/C++ as replacement for pre-existing converter plug-in. Implemented new features allowing application to automatically handle more conversion scenarios. Provide support for old converter while newer version is being implemented and tested. Ongoing maintenance of two libraries used by the conversion process.


Software Engineer/Topia Ventures, LLC (Tacoma, WA)/August 2003-April 2004
Design and implement mobile object architecture-based components in a mixture of Java, C/C++, Objective-C in an OSX and Linux based environment. Unit test components using Cppunit and Junit and contribute to design and code reviews.


Forest Analyst Technician (Intern)/Weyerhaeuser/June 2002-June 2003
Convert a system currently being used from a mix of C and FORTRAN code utilizing flat files to an integrated C++ program with a graphical user interface and Oracle database back-end. Design, implement, test, and deploy database and C++ program.


IT Intern/Transitions Optical, Inc. (Pinellas Park, FL)/Summer 2001
Designed, implemented, and deployed an intranet ASP-based (Active Server Pages) application utilizing a SQL Server 2000 database designed with some help. Became more familiar with client/server side vb and java-script. Worked on a VB application using ADSI (Active Directory Services Interface) and LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) to expedite the switch from Windows NT Server to Windows Server 2000.


Database Project/CleoTextbooks.com (Tacoma, WA)/Spring 2001
Worked in a team to redesign and implement a database system with accompanying ASP for CleoTextbooks. Database was done using Microsoft Access after preliminary groundwork done in Oracle SQL to keep track of customers, orders and inventory.


Software Engineering/Dynon Development, Inc. (Woodinville, WA)/Winter 2000
Developed a preliminary version of the playback mode of a data acquisition system to be used with a data acquisition device designed by Cypress Semi-Conductors. Utilized the MFC library to provide the graphical interface.
